In replacing the hinges you more than likely disrupted the wires that run from the cab into the door causing a ground pinching a wire or in some way causing no power to get through one of the wires. The circuit breaker is located in the instrument panel fuse block located on the driver side edge of the instrument panel. The fuse block access door is on the drivers side edge of the instrument panel. Fuse box in engine compartment. How can you determine that the whole window assembly needs to be repaired or replaced.
I can take two wires from battery and put them to the window motor and that will make the window go up and down. Power windows dont use a fuse they use a circuit breaker due to the high draw of the motorsthe circuit breaker 47 for this and it is in the smart box or under hood fuse box.
Got it fixed for free. How much does it usually cost to get the window assembly repaired or replaced. You can remove fuses with a fuse extractor which is mounted to the fuse block access door. Look for the lt dr circuit breaker. My truck is a v8 four wheel drive automatic with 100000 miles. If the passenger window is working power is not the problem. I need the wiring diagram to the left window motor and fuse box. Here is a guide to help you see where you are losing power and the window wiring diagrams so you can see how the system works. This would more than likely not be a sensor problem.
Have the same problem. 2000 chevy silverado driver side window has a bad pig tail. There is no power going to the motor. There is a rubber boot that runs between the door and the cab pull it back and have someone hold the button in the down position. Pull off the cover to access the fuse block. Unplug the old relay and insert the new one.
Should only have two connections use a meter to measure resistance across the terminals and it should read close to 0 ohms or read a short. Then wiggle the wires until the window moves. The fuse or relay for the power windows on a 2000 chevy suburban is located in the fuse box on top of the battery. 20 21 22 asked in dodge.
