Use a small flathead screwdriver to undo tightening screws and pull the wires out. Are there any alternatives to the pullcord to use.

I am creating a bathroom in one of the bedrooms upstairs my bathroom is downstairs currently. It looked really modern and was just set on the wall in the shower. I agree it doesnt necessarily have to be a pull switch just because its a bathroom. Quiet action its ideal for many uses including leaving the bathroom light on as a nightlight. I suppose the alternative is some kind of selv operated relay or suitably ip rated switch although that might look a bit odd. Thecount nov 2 2009 1.
As one review on the site mentioned power is slightly reduced but thats not a problem in our bathroom where we have 4 halogens. If the mcb or the panel switch is not double pole then for a tt system you will need dp isolationswitching. Or have any better suggestions. The simplest option is to go for a quieter operating switch but looking these up and some websites suggest using a 360 degree occupancy sensor instead or a taptile or just replacing the light bulb with a pir led one. Its just the one globe light in the middle of the room.
